Does your free time replenish you?

As you may remember, I wrote about changing my mood by changing my behavior two weeks ago. I remember thinking that if I spent the rest of my day watching television and reading I would feel better.

Salsa dancing and happiness project update

I had my second salsa class yesterday.

I’m enjoying the classes tremendously and I have started thinking about sewing a salsa skirt. Not too short a skirt though, I don’t want to scare anyone with my cellulite. 🙂

I did a Google search for salsa skirts yesterday and it appears you can wear almost anything (or almost nothing) with it, especially if you do street salsa. [Read more…]

Practicing emotional alchemy

keys to the heartI had a “revelation” about transforming bad moods on Tuesday afternoon.

For some reason I was feeling a little blah. Not at all energetic and not the least enthusiastic.

At some point I lolled on my bed thinking about how to spend the rest of the day – wouldn’t it be better to spend the rest of the day reading and watching telly and hope that the next day I would feel more energetic? [Read more…]

Happiness project update #1


Next I’m going to start organizing my kitchen drawers…

The project started well. I’ve mostly been in a good mood except for a couple of days in the middle of the week, when I stepped on a scale. 🙂
