Last Week’s Exercise

It looks like I’m only posting my exercise when it has been a good week. Oh well.

Luckily, last week was reasonably good in terms of exercise. My weekly step average was above 8000 steps (as it should) and I did 3x FBB strength training sessions. On the negative side, I did zero Feldenkrais and zero metabolic circuits.

I never seem to stop sweating like a pig when I do the workouts but at least I’m getting steadily stronger. I’ve started using my desk for incline push ups instead of the kitchen counter.

Weather is very autumnal ( fall-some?)  in Finland right now. It’s raining, raining and raining and it gets dark early in the evening (not very cold yet). If I go out to walk in the rain after 6 o’clock, it’s like muddling forward in a black wet sock. Not funny.

I should really get some reflectors because someone might just run me over when I’m walking in the dark. Besides, the only jeans that still fit me and the only coat that is suitable for this weather are black, so I look like I’m going to a funeral.

What bothers me most about my fall style is that people probably think it’s some kind of fashion statement. It’s not. 🙂

Thank god for my Leslie Sansone workout tapes. They are an easy way to get some extra physical activity in my day without going outside.

My foul moods seem to have passed at last. Good riddance!

I have no appropriate fall clothing Satu. I am getting by right now by layering long sleeve Ts with a fleece or a hooded sweatshirt. I’m somewhere between soccer mom meets teen grunge these days which I am certain is not in fashion! I’m hopeless when it comes to style.

I’m so glad to hear that your mood has improved especially despite all that rain you’re having. Rain tends to get to me after a few days. Do you find that your mood improves when you are consistent with your exercise?

Hi Aimee! I think soccer mom meets teen grunge sound a lot better than my funeral style. Fall clothing is a good idea for a post too…

My mood is certainly better when I exercise regularly, which is one of the reasons I try to stick to it.

  2. Glad you’re feeling better Satu and great work on the exercise.

We’re heading into summer and I hate the hot weather – so I can understand what you mean when you talk about your sweating! (At least it means we’re working hard!)
